American Track & Field Sprinter Allyson Felix is the most decorated athlete in the IAAF history, with 16 career medals. In 2012, she ran in the 200 meter sprint, the 100 meter sprint and ran the second leg in the 4×400 relay, winning gold in three events and placing 5th in the 100 meter sprint.
Breaking her own personal record, she also became the first American woman to win 3 gold medals in athletics at one Olympics since Florence Griffith – Joyner in 1988.
