While no one can imagine the show without him nowadays, Majors has actually admitted something about his initial thoughts on the role. Namely, he divulged that he had some serious hesitations and even almost turned it down altogether.
When the actor got the script, he saw that it was just a man jumping on buildings and stuff and he wasn’t interested. He even pleaded with the network to make the character more human and less bionic. Thank goodness he chose to stick with it, right? Things could have turned out very differently.
