We’ve mentioned that Lee was raised by his aunt and uncle, but he didn’t even realize this fact until his teenage years! It was during his teens that he went poking around in their attic, and found newspaper clippings relating to the passings of a man and a woman.
Digging a little deeper, he learned the life-changing truth – they were his parents. It would be five more years until he would let his aunt and uncle know that he was aware of the truth, perhaps a precursor to his roles as a stoic, contemplative hero.
