Ronda Rousey is a household name by now, but she’s more than a fighter. Her path to MMA stardom began with judo and trips to the Olympics. Rousey competed in 2004 and 2008, and won a bronze at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing, becoming the first American woman to win the bronze in the competition. She became a household name when she became an MMA star, and she won ESPN’s Female Athlete of the Year twice, in 2014 and 2015. Rousey was also the first woman to sign with UFC, the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Unfortunately for her, two tough losses KOed her status, and she still hasn’t recovered.
