Another pronunciation controversy from the Jeopardy team, though we don’t think this one is quite as bad. The controversy occurred on a 2012 episode of the popular game show when contestant Reid Rogers was deemed to have gotten an answer incorrect.

Wimble-ton – Jeopardy

He pronounced the name of famous tennis Grand Slam Wimble-ton instead of Wimble-don. The answer was at first accepted but then rejected for the incorrect pronunciation. Viewers thought this was a little bit unfair for Rogers.
