Things didn’t get much better with Ryan’s second film of the 2000s. The action thriller “Proof of Life” failed to make more than its $65 million budget at the box office, although that wasn’t the biggest problem.

Meg’s involvement in the movie wasn’t particularly well received by critics, with one review referring to her as a “flat lead.” They claimed there was no chemistry between the actress and her co-star, Russell Crowe, which was surprising given they were enjoying a brief romance of their own behind the scenes!
