There’s a general consensus among people here that things should change to be more in line with other countries. Why should American waitstaff have to rely so much on their tips when other servers get a reasonable wage from their employers?

We need change

Tips should be considered a bonus for people rather than something they need just to keep themselves alive. There are all sorts of suggestions for how the payment system should be altered in the US, but most agree that something needs to be done. Servers can’t continue like this forever.
