This sandwich feud between colleagues went on for so long that HR had to step in

If there is one thing you’re not supposed to mess with at work, it’s your colleague’s food. Everyone is meant to be in the same boat, and while not everyone loves their job, most people look forward to their lunchtime break. It’s not much, but that’s the time of the day where you’re free from your cubicle, and you can take a break from all the stresses of your business.
People look forward to eating their lunch, so the worst thing anyone can do is to come along and tamper with it. It takes a special kind of person to steal someone else’s lunch, knowing that it’s likely to be the only thing they’re going to eat that day. Due to the fear of people stealing their food, workers have been forced to get super protective over their meals.
If there is a communal refrigerator, then people like to leave little passive-aggressive notes to warn their colleagues away from their stuff. Not everyone gets the message though, and some people completely forget about common decency and mess with other people’s food. This sandwich feud escalated pretty quickly, and it continued for so long that HR eventually had to be called.

If you’ve coming into work and messing with your colleague’s food, then you don’t really have any respect for them.
The golden rule

Sure it might seem like it’s just a little prank, but if you’re hungry, you aren’t going to see the funny side of things. People just want to eat their lunch in their own time and not be a part of someone’s ‘hilarious’ joke.
