Dennis Johnson is considered one of the greatest defensive point guards. Johnson’s nine All-Defensive selections is tied for the best among point guards. It’s his postseason numbers that stand out. He turned up the heat in the playoffs, averating 17.3 PPG and 5.6 RPG in 13 postseason appearances.
The three-time NBA champion was awarded the Finals MVP title in 1978-79 while coming off the bench for Seattle. He averaged 20.9 points a game in just over 40 minutes of play that postseason.
