When you look at his career numbers – 9.6 PPG, 8.0 APG, 3.8 RPG – Mark Jackson may not look that impressive. But it’s a good thing we don’t look only at numbers, or at least not those numbers. Jackson helped shape every team he played for during his 17 season career, including several playoff squads.
He was the 1996-97 assists leader, a season during which he was traded from Denver back to Indiana and is fourth on the all-time assist leader list, beating out Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, Gary Payton and Isiah Thomas.
