The longtime Utah point guard never won a ring, but that doesn’t take away from his outstanding career as a leader of the Jazz. Stockton still holds the all-time record for assists, with 15,806 assists in his 19 years in Utah. The next two guys on the list are also on this list, but are more than 3,000 assists behind.
Stockton led the league in assists for nine consecutive seasons, from ‘87 through ‘96 and he had the ideal partner in Karl Malone. Defensively Stockton was one of the best defensive point guards, and averaged above 3 steals a game for three seasons.
