In 2006, the Major League Baseball website listed Colin as one of their players to watch, and as a draftable prospect. As his talent for baseball grew, so did the interest in his skills. Just three years later, he was drafted in by the Chicago Cubs in the Major League Baseball Draft. However, Colin once again turned the offer down, with dreams of a professional football career ahead of him.
