Amazingly, Colin was right. In February 2006, his perseverance well and truly paid off, and he was offered a full football scholarship to attend the University of Nevada and play with the Nevada Wolf Pack. Colin had been spotted by the the assistant to the head coach of the Nevada football team, Chris Ault, during a basketball game. His name had been reported back to Ault, who trusted the instinct of his assistant. So, without even seeing him play football, Colin had been scouted.
