He won the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy four times (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009), was awarded the Frank J. Selke Trophy three times (2008, 2009, 2010), is a gold medalist from the 2012 World Championships and two-time Stanley Cup winner (2002, 2008). In 2016 the Red Wings traded his contract to the Coyotes, and Datsyuk then signed a two-year contract back in Russia.
