The 20 greatest Russian hockey players to star in the NHL

[post_page_title]Andrei Markov 2001-present[/post_page_title]
Andrei Markov has been consistent throughout his, so far, 16-season career with the Montreal Canadiens. The defenseman’s total points rose steadily over the beginning years of his career, reaching 64 points in 2008-09. His career numbers dropped a few years later, though, after Markov suffered an injury during the 2010 playoffs and again the following season, forcing him to miss more than half of the season. During his tenure in Montreal, the Canadiens reached the playoffs 11 times, but never made it past the conference finals. Most recently they lost to the New York Rangers in the first round.
