The Dodgers ace is one of the best in the game, and deserves every single penny of his seven-year, $215 million deal with the team. Back when they signed the contract in January 2014, it was the richest deal signed with a pitcher ever, topping the previous contract (Justin Verlander and the Tigers) by $35 million. It included an $18 million signing bonus and Kershaw will be paid $33 million a season through 2020 (except for 2019 where he will make $32 million).
