Finally the family had their day in court. It was December 2017, and this was going to be the greatest gift they could possibly imagine.

Mandi and Tyler learned that even though it was like battling a storm to get here, adopting Hunter would be the rainbow at the end of it. Mandi said that she had learned family isn’t about DNA at all, it’s all about love. With so much love in the room, the only thing left to do was to sign the papers and make Hunter officially a Palmer.

As Tyler was signing his name on the adoption papers, Hunter shouted out “Dad!” With a perfect sense of timing, Hunter had just opened up the floodgates and put people in tears as Tyler was 100 percent his father.
