At the beginning of the ‘80s, the figure skating scene was all about Elaine Zayak. The star made her claim to fame when she won the U.S. National Competition in 1981 before going on to take home a second win the following year. Elaine was one of the skaters chosen to travel to the 1984 Winter Olympics where her dreams came crashing down. Although Elaine was more determined than ever, she only managed to reach sixth place meaning it was no medals here.
