Of course, the only reason Thomas received the publicity that he had – his story was carried by multiple international outlets – was because of the internet’s growing hold on our lives.
It’s extremely unlikely that this is the first instance of tenants leaving their former home in ruin, but before the age of the internet we likely never would’ve heard about it. It’s not really “news worthy,” so local news might not have covered it. Today, however, we don’t have to rely on news anymore. Thomas brought us the story himself!
