Year: 2012
Team: Los Angeles Angels
Mike Trout arguably had the best rookie season of all time. All you have to do is watch a highlight reel of his defensive plays in the outfield to understand how great he was, and how fun he was to watch. His numbers are astounding, in 139 games Trout recorded 183 hits, 129 runs, 49 stolen bases(!!!) and 83 runs batted in. He batted .326/.399/.564 and his 10.0 WAR leads all rookies in major league history.
