Canadian forward Brooks Laich began his career on the junior ice hockey team Moose Jaw Warriors in Saskatchewan, Canada. He played for Canada at the World Hockey Championships in 2010. His longest tenure was with the Washington Capitals. He was picked up by them during the NHL draft in 2003 and was considered for a leadership role on the team in 2009. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Kings. He was signed to the Kings for a one-year, $650,000 deal.
