Hockey Hall of Famer Mike Modano began his career as a junior player for the Western Hockey League team. Although he moved around between teams he played mostly for the NHL’s Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars. He has broken a number of hockey records and holds the record for most points scored for American-born players in the NHL. He announced his retirement from hockey at a Dallas press conference in 2011. He is currently an executive advisor with the Dallas Stars.
