One of the reasons that Oher decided to sign with the Panthers after leaving the Titans was because he was a big fan of their quarterback Cam Newton. Signed by the Panthers in 2011, Newton is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
He has broken numerous NFL records – including becoming the first quarterback to throw 4,000 yards throughout their first season – has won several awards, and has even helped the Panthers reach the Superbowl – leading them there in 2016.
