The only color Tara wanted was gold. The young skater kick-started her career in 1996 when she was crowned champion twice at the Grand Prix Final. Tara then moved on to win the title of World Champion twice before trying out for the Olympics. She easily qualified where at the 1998 Winter Olympics Tara was able to, once again, walk away with the gold medal. At 15 years old Tara was the youngest person to win the Olympic Ladies’ singles event or become a U.S. national champion.
