Zoo enraged by ‘disrespect’ of visitors who scratched names into a rhino’s back

Many people wanted to communicate to the zoo through social media that they support what they are trying to do. One person commented that they had the pleasure of scratching one of the ears of a rhino at the zoo, and the animal seemed to appreciate it. The person also commented that people seem quick to judge the zoo because of the skinny nature of their rhino. They felt as though simply looking at the size of the rhino’s belly wasn’t the best way to judge how healthy it was.
