Zoo enraged by ‘disrespect’ of visitors who scratched names into a rhino’s back

Zoo de la Palmyre wants its visitors to be able to get close to its rhinos to understand more about these animals. In the zoo’s opinion, they are majestic creatures, and that’s what they want their guests to feel after visiting their sanctuary. The more that people can understand about rhinos then perhaps the less they will want to poach them for their horns. It’s a constant battle, and if conservationists lose it against the poaching industry and dwindling habitats, there won’t be any more rhinos in the wild.
