Two species of rhino are staring down the barrel of extinction. The Javan and Sumatran rhino are classed as critically endangered, with only 80 Sumatran and between 58 and 68 Javan rhinos left in the world. The WWF is doing everything it can to preserve these species and find a way to increase their numbers sooner rather than later. The organization has a history of making a success of bringing species back from the brink, so there is still some hope for the rhino.
