To prove her timeless love and devotion to her man, Parton dedicated a song she wrote in 2012, From Here to the Moon and Back, to her beloved husband. When speaking about what inspired her to write a song about Dean, she said, “I needed to write a beautiful love song.”
She explained, “I picked my husband, who I love, and I thought, ‘Well, I’ll write some beautiful song about him.'” She continued, “I thought in order to make it really real and really touching, I would write my real, true emotions about someone I really do love and have loved for more than half of my life.”
