This giant silverback gorilla stopped traffic for an incredible reason

There was a whole squad of gorillas filing past Chimanuka, including a mother and baby. As they began heading to the bushes on the other side of the road, Buchanan managed to capture a shot of Chimanuka’s newly adopted baby, Marhale.

There were plenty of mother gorillas crossing the road with their young ones, and Chimanuka showed it’s not just babies he cares for. Among his family was a one-handed gorilla that had found sanctuary in Chimanuka’s family when other silverbacks might have cast it aside.
