This giant silverback gorilla stopped traffic for an incredible reason

Buchanan had tracked down the precise thing he had traveled all the way to the Congo for, a silverback gorilla. Normally hidden amongst the trees and leaves in the jungle, this silverback gorilla was now peeking its head out from the buses, peering into a busy road.

Sometimes wildlife photographers can spend months looking for the animal they’ve been tracking, but Buchanan was fortunate enough to have his subject pop its head out to say hello. Despite its size, it was clear this gorilla was cautious about stepping into the road.
