After retiring in 1993, the former driver decided to try his hand at running the Ligier team, which unfortunately went bankrupt in 2002. Prost decided to get back behind the wheel in 2003 when he competed in an ice racing championship, the Andros Trophy. In 2017, the Renault Formula One team announced Prost as a special adviser for them.
