We’ve talked about what happens to letters in the U.S., but the country doesn’t come close to sending the most Santa wishes. France takes first place; Canada is second; and the U.S. comes in third.

France even has a law that all letters must be responded to with a postcard. Canada’s letters also get a response, but only if sent by a certain time. This gives children a chance to send what they want for Christmas to the big man with all the power when it comes to presents.
