Making it in the majors: the best MLB rookie seasons

[post_page_title]Honorable mention: Yasiel Puig[/post_page_title]
Year: 2013
Team: Los Angeles Dodgers
Yasiel Puig missed out on the NL Rookie of the Year title because of one man, and one man only: the next guy on the list. But in 2013, Puig had a rookie season that we cannot ignore. The rightfielder hit .319/.534/.925 with 122 hits and 42 runs batted in, in just 104 games in the majors. But Puig’s season can’t be judged by it’s numbers, the 22-year-old at the time had a great impact on his team, receiving credit for turning around their season while Hanley Ramirez, Matt Kemp and Carl Crawford were all on the DL.
