One German man was once responsible for breeding the entire population of German shepherds. However, he soon ran into a problem. The breed had been used for working, but the industrialization of the country meant the dogs were quickly losing their place.
He soon began to work with the police and security guards to ensure German shepherds had a job for a lifetime. Their intelligence and ease to train have now seen the breed become the second most popular dog of choice in America.
