Although the Brazilian mastiff is a popular breed across South America, it can be tough to see these dogs outside of the nation as they are banned in many areas.
Their tracking skills are what has drawn many people to the dogs as they can hunt down almost any prey and are perfect for herding livestock. However, Brazilian mastiffs are also known for their impulsive behavior and hostile personalities. Amazingly, many have been trained to hold onto prey until their master commands they release.
