So who’s actually in charge of holding onto – and handing out – royal jewels? There is actually one woman in charge of the jewels and heirlooms – but it isn’t the Queen! Angela Kelly has been the Queen’s right-hand woman since 2002, and has been called her “gatekeeper.” Starting out as one of her dressers, she became the monarch’s first-ever personal assistant. Apart from taking care of the Queen’s schedule, she’s physically in charge of her massive jewel collection. “We are two typical women. We discuss clothes, makeup, jewelry,” Kelly revealed.
