[post_page_title]Dachshund[/post_page_title]
Sure, these little sausage dogs might look small and harmless, but they have a varied history. The breed was bred in Germany around 300 years ago where the locals would use them to hunt badgers.
Their short legs were the selling point as the dogs could quickly get into their dens and haul out the animals. As well as being the first dog to be successfully cloned in Britain, dachshunds have also become popular pets all around the world thanks to their small size and unique appearance.
