[post_page_title]Rhodesian ridgeback[/post_page_title]
Rhodesian ridgebacks are often thought of as a lazy breed of dog, but they are quite the opposite. They were once bred to help take down all kinds of prey in Africa, including lions.
Their incredible size made them the perfect addition to any hunt. The breed gets their name from the distinctive ridge down their back mixed with their bright red fur. However, many advise not to train ridgebacks as guard dogs as their need to protect can often go too far.
