Nadia’s life got a lot more complicated as 1979 reared its head. Rumors began to circulate alleging that Nadia was dating Nicu Ceausescu, the youngest son of Romanian leader, Nicolae Ceausescu.
Nicu was known for being a party animals, losing tens of thousands of dollars (mainly tax dollars his family allegedly stole) at casinos around the world. He was not the best of people to be seen hanging around with, and these rumors tarnished Nadia’s image.
