There were a whole lot of other people who tried to get through to Nadia as well, chief amongst which was Bart Conner, the male competitor who kissed the young Comaneci back in 1975.
He remembered her and tried in vain to get in contact with her. However, when he heard that Nadia was going to be on the Pat Sajak Show, Connor (who happened to know the producer) asked to be a surprise guest. Conner thought that there was something fishy going on with Nadia.
