People began to suspect that the reason that Nadia was not speaking to anyone was due to the fact that Nadia and Panait (who was married), were in a relationship of some kind.
The two were seen staying in hotels all over the United States together. When asked what was going on, Nadia would simply say “it’s a secret.” However, as Nadia would eventually relate to a friend, she was actually not in the healthiest of relationships with this man.
