Darya Klishina continues to compete despite being involved in the 2016 Russian Athlete scandal in during the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. The entire Russian team was barred from participating in the games due to using performance enhancing substances.
However, Darya appealed the International Olympic Committee decision, saying that because she was training in the US, she had no access to the substances. The Committee overturned the decision, and Darya competed, getting ninth place in the long jump.
