Sandi, who started her outdoor pole vaulting career in high school,  currently holds the US outdoor pole vaulting record at 5m. In 2014, she took home the gold medal at the NACAC U23.

She competed on the US Olympic team in 2016, and did not fail to impress. She brought home a silver medal, at only 24-years-old. She gained another silver medal earlier this year at the World Championships in London.
