John Havlicek and Bill Russell played together for seven seasons in a Boston Celtics uniform, winning 395 games together while losing only 170. Bill Russell had already won five championships when John Havlicek arrived in Boston, four of them in a row, and he wasn’t ready to give up just yet. Havlicek hit the ground running with Boston, averaging 14.3 PPG and 3.7 rebounds already from his first season. The duo helped Boston win six more championships before Russell stepped away from the game. The one year they didn’t win, the 1966-67 season, they lost in the East Division Finals.
