Kobe has had his fair share of sidekicks, and has been one to several of the NBA’s greatest players. While Kobe and Pau’s final seasons together in LA were horrifying for Lakers fans, they had quite the run before the dark ages. From the moment Pau was traded to the Lakers during the 2007-08 season, the Lakers went on postseason runs. That same year they lost to the Celtics in the Finals, but they followed it up with back-to-back championships in ’08-’09 and ’09-’10. Those two seasons Pau was averaging 18 PPG while Kobe added 26.8 and 27 PPG. During the seven years Pau was in LA, the Lakers would win 262 games, their number of losses was also high, due to injuries during the 2013-14 season, which they finished with a 27-55 record. That was the only season they failed to make the playoffs.
