Vivien Leigh acts out one of the most iconic scenes in Gone with the Wind when she slaps Butterfly McQueen, playing Scarlett’s house servant, Prissy.

The original director, George Cukor, was said to have been unhappy with how Leigh slapped McQueen and ordered her to hit her multiple times. The slap was filmed over and over again, meaning McQueen was slapped over and over again. Reportedly McQueen eventually began crying because she had been slapped so much and her face was really beginning to sting.
