You’ve got to be kidding me: the biggest blown calls of all time

[post_page_title]The Phantom Tag[/post_page_title]
It’s the Yankees versus the Red Sox in Game 4 of the 1999 ALCS. This inning-ending double play on a phantom tag is probably another reason for Boston fans to loathe the Yankees. Chuck Knoblauch goes to tag the runner, Jose Offerman, but before he even touches him he throws with force to get the runner out at first. Yet for some reason, the second base umpire indicated an out, meaning an inning ending double play ending a Boston rally. The Yanks would win this game, take the series and eventually win another World Series title.
