[post_page_title]That ball was fair[/post_page_title]
During Game 2 of the ALDS between the New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins, Minnesota’s Joe Mauer hit a fly ball to left field that landed within fair territory. It was tipped off the glove and fell a few inches from the line. But that’s not how umpire Phil Cuzzi saw it. Cuzzi ruled the ball was foul. The Yankees would win 4-3 in 11 innings, and would go on to win the World Series, their 27th title.
