Steve Nash and Amar’e Stoudemire are one of the best pick-and-roll duos in the history of the NBA. Nash, during a second stint with the Suns, had just returned from playing with Dirk Nowitzki in Dallas, with a refined game. When Nash returned to Phoenix, Amar’e was entering his third season in the NBA, averaging more than 20 points per game. Their first season together, Nash and Stoudemire led the team to a 62-20 record, and two seasons later they had another remarkable 61 win season. The duo would lead the Suns to five postseason appearances in six seasons, but were never able to make it past the Western Conference Finals.
