Ever wonder why the Detroit Lions were so bad for so many years? Some blame it on former Lions quarterback Bobby Layne. Urban legend tells that in 1958, when the Lions traded Layne to the Steelers, Layne was so angry, he said Detroit won’t win for 50 years. Some claim it was a hoax, but as history showed, the Lions didn’t do much winning over those 50 years. Even more eerie, the last year of the curse, 2008, the Lions were 0-16. That same season, Pittsburgh won the Super Bowl.
